All trikes in the ICE Adventure range are built on an optimised ICE frame featuring Compact Flat Twist Fold, No Brake Steer, Rider Positioning System, and wide-range gearing. ICE’s heritage of innovation and development combine to produce a trike that is beautifully engineered, rides like a dream, and offers practical features for everyday use.

The ICE Adventure features our improved handlebar design which allows for a wider, roomier cockpit, an easy access swept cruciform, an Ergo-Luxe seat for the ultimate in comfort and an updated handlebar clamping system with super secure indexed clamps ensuring easy alignment when unfolding and solid handlebar positioning.

Adventure Models Basic Specifications:

ICE Adventure models include as standard: ICE Ergo-Luxe Seat, compact flat twist frame, powerful Sturmey Archer 90mm drum brakes, Shimano V-brake parking brake and Schwalbe Big Apple or Road Cruiser tyres. You can also choose options to personalise the fit of your trike, from our choice of seats and crank lengths.

ICE Trikes are custom made in England, but we have the most popular configuration options in stock for immediate purchase.

The main differences between each model are as follows:

Regular or HD: The Adventure HD is built stronger and wider for larger or taller riders, with a wider, deeper seat, and it is 2" longer than the standard Adventure. The higher seat position compared to some of our other trikes gives easy access to the trike and a great view when cycling. The HD supports riders up to 330lbs.
Suspension: Rigid Frame (no suspension) RS (rear suspension only) or FS (front and rear suspension)
Rear wheel size: 20" or 26"
Motor: STEPS EP6 or EP8 (both have 85 Nm of torque, the EP8 is a bit lighter) or PERS chainless motor here

HIGHLIGHTS AND FEATURES

ADVENTURE CHARACTERISTICS

The Adventure is the perfect trike for road and trail use with its high frame and excellent ground clearance. It features indirect steering for natural and intuitive handling from the first ride. Handling remains controlled, predictable and light, even when cornering at speed.

The higher seat position compared to some of our other trikes gives easy access to the trike and a great view when cycling. The seat angle can be easily adjusted to one of four positions. The Adventure is available in Rigid, Rear or Full Suspension models, offering several levels of riding comfort to suit all budgets. You can also choose a 20" rear wheel frame which is ideal for touring or a 26" rear wheel frame which is great for higher speed cycling.

DURABLE ELEGANT OPTIMISED FRAMES

Our frames are designed to respond to the forces of the rider and road. Every element of the Adventure frame has been engineered to complement the other, giving ICE trikes their famed riding characteristics.

Each frame is made from the finest aircraft-grade heat-treated 4130 Chromoly steel and 7005 T6 heat-treated aluminium. Chromoly steel is used in the centre frame cruciform section for the perfect combination of strength, fatigue resistance and vibration absorption. Aluminium is used in the rear frame and front boom because it is strong, lightweight and absorbs dynamic forces while ensuring maximum power transfer.

All frames are powder-coated for a beautiful durable showroom finish, whilst other components are anodised for durability.

SWEPT DESIGN CRUCIFORM

The Adventure features our easy access swept cruciform. Allowing you to get your feet further under you for a more stable entry and exit of the trike. We have also slightly raised the seat position by 12mm. This allows for clearer access to remove the seat when folding the trike, this also creates improved heel clearance for smaller riders.

SEATING

The ICE Adventure is available with three different seat options: The Ergo-Luxe seat is the most comfortable trike seat on the market and the most comfortable you will ever sit on. Beautifully designed to provide the ultimate level of comfort and back support. Breathable fabrics maximise airflow, the tension in the back can be easily adjusted. The Ergo-luxe Short Back seat is also available. This seat has all the features of the standard Ergo-Luxe seat but it has a 2" (50mm approx), shorter back than the standard Ergo-Luxe seat. The Ergo-Flow seat has been designed to provide optimum back support, it is lightweight and breathable which is ideal for warmer climates. Breathable fabrics maximise airflow and cooling. Cushioning in the base and side bolsters further enhances riding comfort. All seats feature a handy top weather-sealed pocket for storing small items such as keys and phones.

C.F.T FOLD

The ICE Compact Flat Twist fold is one of the many innovations that ICE has brought to the recumbent world. The fold is based around a lightweight heat-treated aluminium hinge on the main frame. All ICE trikes (except the VTX) can be folded for transporting in a car and for storing your trike.

Simply remove the seat, fold the handlebars flat, and undo the quick release lever to fold the frame. As the frame folds, the rear wheel pivots to fit flat between the front wheels. The C.F.T fold allows the trike to be folded in under 30 seconds and works with ICE accessories.

SHIMANO STEPS E-ASSIST

The ICE Adventure is available with or without electric assist. You can choose from the Shimano STEPS motor or the PERS Chainless motor from CIXI.

The Shimano EP6/EP8 system uses a powerful 250w electric motor, custom-designed ICE specific forged motor housing, 85Nm torque, custom display mount and Bluetooth connectivity.

WIDE HANDLEBARS

The Adventure features handlebars which allow for a wide roomier cockpit. This gives the rider more room while cycling, steering and turning the trike.

SECURE INDEXED HANDLEBAR CLAMPS

The Adventure models feature an improved handlebar clamping system with super secure indexed clamps to ensure the handlebars easily remain fixed in position at all times and return to your preferred position after folding the trike.

ACCESSIBILITY
