European Made eBikes

Where are your bikes made?  Do you have any Made in Canada eBikes?

  • Canada has some fantastic boutique mountain bike builders. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any premium eBikes that are actually made in Canada. 
  • Many companies put a maple leaf on their bikes and their website and use phrasing like “Designed in Canada” or “Canadian Company.” In reality the bikes are usually made in China, Cambodia or Vietnam, often by companies with questionable labour practices. 
  • We would love to be able to sell high quality eBikes made in Canada with reliable Bosch and Shimano motors.
  • Instead, we do the next best thing - almost all of our bikes are made in Europe – Germany, Holland the UK.

Why Made in Europe?

  • You can feel good about your bike: it was made by someone that is treated well, has access to free healthcare and by a company that respects their employees and partners and cares about their community. You can read more about why we love working with European companies like Velo de Ville here.
  • Our trading partners value us: Canada is a trading nation – the world needs what we make. Our European trading partners respect our trade agreements and treat us fairly. We want them to support our economy and jobs by buying from us, and in exchange, we buy premium quality goods from them. .
